Ingredients

1 bone-in hickory smoked spiral sliced ham (8 to 10 pounds), cooked

3/4 cup honey

1/2 cup light brown sugar

Cooking Directions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line a shallow baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil and set a wire baking rack on top.

Using kitchen twine, tie the ham at 2 to 3-inch intervals both horizontally and vertically. This will hold the slices together as well as help the ham remain moist while baking. Position the ham (bottom side up) on the rack.

Combine the remaining ingredients in a small bowl and whisk together. Pour 1/4 cup glaze evenly over the ham, then turn the ham so that the uncoated side is up. Pour 1/2 cup glaze evenly over the top.

Bake the ham for 30 minutes. Remove ham from the oven and brush with remaining glaze. Bake 30 minutes longer. Baste the ham a final time with the juices that have accumulated on the bottom of the pan and cook 10 minutes longer, or until the ham is heated through and the edges are nicely browned.

Remove the ham from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes. Remove and discard the kitchen twine and transfer the ham to a serving platter. Carefully pour any accumulated glaze/cooking juices from the baking sheet into a small gravy boat or container. Brush the ham a final time with the glaze. Serve ham hot or at room temperature. Leftover ham is delicious in sandwiches.

Note: If ham begins to brown excessively before it is heated through, tent loosely with aluminum foil and continue cooking.

Recipe courtesy Emeril Lagasse, copyright Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, Inc.

I haven't tried this in a crock pot. So I know a lot of people loathe oatmeal raisin cookies, but give this recipe a try and you may just change your mind. They are so good!!

*1 cup margarine or butter (2 sticks)
*1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
*1/2 sugar
*2 eggs
*1 teaspoon vanilla
*1 1/2 cups flour
*1 tsp baking soda
*1 tsp cinnamon
*1/2 tsp salt
*3 cups oatmeal, (uncooked, quick or old fashioned)
*1 cup of raisins

Preheat oven to 350
In mixer, beat together butter and sugars until creamy. Add eggs, and vanilla and beat well. add flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Mix well. Stir in oats and raisins. Mix well. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Do not over cook. Cookies harden after they cool. I have tried a lot and thanks to Riv I will never have to switch around recipes again!

*3 tbsp sugar
*1 tbsp salt
*2 tbsp olive oil
*1 1/2 cups warm water
*4 cups bread flour
*2 tsp (1 packet) instant yeast

Stick it in your mixer and let it mix for 10-15 minutes. The dough should be really smooth and not sticky at all. Once mixed, roll it into a ball on the counter top. Place it in a non-stick plastic bowl (glass or metal) that has been sprayed with Pam and then spray the top of dough as well. Cover with plastic wrap and stick it in the fridge overnight (you can use the dough right away, but it is easier to work with if you refrigerate)

Pull it out of fridge an hour before you want to make pizza. Divide it into four equal parts. Let them warm up to room temp. When ready roll the dough out. Top with whatever you want. If you want to cook it in the oven set the oven at 450 and bake for ten minutes.

*tip* I bought a unglazed tile from home depot and put it straight on my bbq grill outside. It worked just like a pizza stone. The tricky part was getting them on. Great served with Pineapple kabobs.

Bruechetta French Bread grill.

My Sister Hanna gave me this recipe.
